Sherlock Holmes

My son has just had his 30th birthday so I made him a birthday card. We both like Sherlock Holmes so I used a silhouette of Holmes' head. My son liked the card and especially liked the writing on the inside of it.

Last ones for the dogs

I made another few cards for the strays yesterday. I decided not to put any greetings/words on them so they can be bought and used for any occasion.

I really hope they sell well for the kennels, after all, if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have my lovely, soppy Gilbert.

White

Another productive day today, finished off 7 more cards for Foredowne to sell to help towards their strays ☺ 5 are birthday cards and 2 are for an anniversary. I like these cards a lot despite the fact there is little or no colour on them.
First the 2 anniversary cards

 Now the birthday cards

That's all for today, thank you for reading!

Swaps

I have recently joined two card making groups on Yahoo who have monthly card swaps. These are my cards for Septembers swaps -

Firstly the freestyle swap which is a tiny sweater, hat and scarf that I knitted to my own pattern.
Secondly the die cut card swap where I used two poinsettias and trellis.

I enjoyed making both of these cards and can't wait to make a start on October's cards!

Gilbert

I have been making cards for Foredowne Kennels from where my fiance and I rescued our dog, Gilbert. Gilbert was one of their strays, it breaks my heart thinking of him on the streets because he just loves having cuddles with us, he must have been so upset with no-one to cuddle up to. Gilbert also hates the rain and would rather cross his little legs than go out in the rain to go toilet. Being on the streets must have been hell for him, he was only 22 months old too when we adopted him, still a baby!
Gilbert has lived with us for 2 years now, we adopted him on October 12th 2013 on my eldest grandaughters birthday.  My fiance and I were going to pay half the adoption fee each but in the end my fiance paid the whole amount as he wanted to give Gilbert to me as a late birthday present...best birthday present I have ever had!
Here are a couple of pictures of him ♡

Christmas is coming

I have started making Christmas cards, it's slow going but I am hoping they will all be done by the end of this month. The cards are for the kennels that we adopted our dog from, Foredowne Boarding Kennels and Cattery, they can sell them and all the proceeds will go towards looking after the stray dogs that they take in and rehome.
The blue and white ones are my favourite - snow and ice!
The poinsettia die is from Britannia dies and the ivy is the Signature dies mini ivy flourish from Joanna Sheen

Giant clothes peg

Another decorated clothes peg but this one is about 10inches high, cost a couple of pounds and bought from Tiger

Again I don't know the name of the ivy die but, as you can see, more of the multiflower rose die flowers were used. I love the colour of the flowers too.

Decorated clothes peg memo holder

I love this clothes peg, it's about 6inches high and only cost me a quid!  It is decorated with flowers from the multiflower rose die again - can't you tell I love these flowers - but I don't know what the leaf die is I'm afraid. The little bee is so sweet, it was bought to decorate a phone case but I decided he looked cute on the peg. The little notelet papers were designed by me on Paint Shop Pro.

It's been just over a year since I wrote anything on here, I would love to be able to say it's because I have been busy but sadly the truth is it's because my depression reared its ugly head again. I'm still battling with it but have managed to get a few crafty moments.
This is a card I made for my daughter for her birthday back in July.

I love these flowers but still need more practise making them!

The trellis die is from Signature Dies By Joanna Sheen trellis die and is gorgeous. The flowers are from the Multiflower Rose die by Britannia Dies small Multiflower die
